3/17/2023 0 Comments Liquid notes 1.5.3.4 crack vstAlthough, I agree that the excerpt function works & looks better in MN. I like to handwrite questions/equations in the canvas as I go through a document, & I've found that MN is simply not the best app for it. I have the paid version of Liquid Text, I've only tried the free marginnote & I didn't like it. I suppose the experience varies greatly depending on the subject you're studying, but I'll just tell you my personal experience, you then decide if it's useful for your case. Then just revise at the end.Īny thoughts on this would be great thanks! And I do tend to excerpt and highlight a lot when reading. I already spent the entire day working out this conundrum haha.Īctually I thought that it seems like making a lot of notes on such is faster on either Marginnote or LiquidText since excerpting is where they're both good at. Notion side by side since I'm usually on my Mac these days anyway :))) Although I still would like the convenience of having the iPad. So far I'm just WiFi transferring files to my iPad as I wish to do so.Ī little more frustration on this and I'll switch back to using Adobe Reader and a notes app, e.g. And then with LiquidText, well just open file with LiquidText from Mendeley. I planned to do iCloud sync on the iPad, but users say its buggy. So far, my workflow is putting things in Mendeley on my Macbook, then use the same Menedeley pdf folder as Marginnote does so everything's inside marginnote already. However, I'm also thinking if maybe this linear notebook style thing can be done in Marginnote as well by simply just not making things into mindmaps, but arranging loose "excerpts" that are not grouped, and not as mindmaps. I suppose I was still looking for that "linear" notebook style. So I tried LiquidText for this, and things just made more sense. Thing is, I bought LiquidText first, and since I was studying textbooks then, when I tried out Marginnote it seemed to be better of being read in Marginnote especially due to space considerations, review mode, and for building linear concepts.īut then I read research papers on Marginnote, but things just seem so weird or harder to understand when things get either grouped automatically or in mindmap form in Marginnote somehow. Am considering getting LiquidText on Mac as well I have the pro versions of LiquidText and Marginnote on the iPad, and so far the pro version of Marginnote on Mac. So far, been testing out both on Desktop and iPad.

3/17/2023 0 Comments Concerning body fluid compartmentsIt is necessary to clarify certain terms which are relevant for the discussion of compartment specific losses. The type of fluid that is lost from the body, as well as the fluid compartment from which it is lost is important for determining a strategy for treating the patient. When fluid losses exceed fluid intake a fluid imbalance develops. These imbalances may be evident on physical examination, laboratory data, or assumed based on signalment and history. Disruption in the balance between fluid intake and loss can result in disorders of hydration and perfusion. Disease states can lead to fluid losses from additional sources such as pyrexia, cutaneous injury, gastrointestinal disease, respiratory disease, third spacing of fluid, and hemorrhage. Fluid is lost from the body under normal conditions from the respiratory system, the feces, and the urine. Some water is also produced via metabolic processes. Fluid enters the body in the form of water consumed by the animal. In addition to maintaining a balance between the fluid compartments within the body, the animal must also maintain fluid balance with the outside world. The activity of this pump maintains a high extracellular sodium concentration and a low extracellular potassium concentration, which is evident in the electrolyte composition of plasma in the healthy patient. The ECF and ICF have very distinct ionic compositions which are maintained primarily through the activity of the sodium / potassium ATPase pump. Fluid movement across these membranes depends on the characteristics of the membrane, hydrostatic pressure, colloid oncotic pressure, and osmolarity. The endothelial membrane and endothelial glycocalyx separate the intravascular from the interstitial space and the cell membranes separate the ICF from the ECF. These compartments are separated by membranes. Twenty percent of body weight is extracellular fluid. Forty percent of body weight is intracellular fluid. The easiest way to remember these proportions is the 60:40:20 rule. The extracellular fluid is further compartmentalized into the interstitial fluid which makes up ¾ of the ECF and the intravascular fluid which comprises the remaining ¼ of ECF. The remaining third of total body water is contained in the extracellular fluid (ECF) compartment which makes up roughly 15-30% of body weight. The intracellular fluid (ICF) makes up 40% of body weight, or two-thirds of total body water. It is the major component of all body fluids and is distributed into distinct compartments within the body. Water has a multitude of roles within an animal’s body including transport of red blood cells, electrolytes, and nutrients, carrying substrates across cellular membranes, facilitating evaporative cooling, acting as a solvent, and participating in metabolic functions and reactions. This composition will vary with age, sex, species, and body condition score. Sixty percent of an adult animal’s body weight is water (referred to as total body water). Having a greater understanding of the fluid balance within the body, the effect of different disease states on this fluid balance, and the fluid choices available for treating our patients is vital to maximizing patient benefit, while minimizing side effects of therapy. Though it has great ability to help our patients, like any medical intervention, it has the potential to do harm as well. Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital, Woburn, MAįluid therapy is a crucial part of the treatment of patients in the emergency room and the critical care unit. 3/17/2023 0 Comments Un mastodonte du footĬuvier assigned the name mastodon (or mastodont) – meaning "breast tooth" ( Ancient Greek: μαστός "breast" and ὀδούς, "tooth"), – for the nipple-like projections on the crowns of the molars. In 1817 Cuvier named the "incognitum" Mastodon. Other anatomists noted that the teeth of mammoths and elephants differed from those of the "incognitum", which possessed rows of large conical cusps, indicating that they were dealing with a distinct species. Johann Friedrich Blumenbach assigned the scientific name Mammut to the American "incognitum" remains in 1799, under the assumption that they belonged to mammoths. People started referring to the "incognitum" as a "mammoth", like the ones that were being dug out in Siberia – in 1796 the French anatomist Georges Cuvier proposed the radical idea that mammoths were not simply elephant bones that had been somehow transported north, but a species which no longer existed. There soon followed discoveries of complete bones and tusks in Ohio. Similar teeth were found in South Carolina, and some of the African slaves there supposedly recognized them as being similar to the teeth of African elephants. They carried them to the Mississippi River, from where they were transported to the National Museum of Natural History in Paris. In 1739 French soldiers at present-day Big Bone Lick State Park, Kentucky, found the first bones to be collected and studied scientifically. The mystery animal became known as the "incognitum". Mastodons disappeared from North America as part of a mass extinction of most of the Pleistocene megafauna, widely believed to have been caused by a combination of climate changes at the end of the Pleistocene and overexploitation by Paleo-Indians.Įxhuming the First American Mastodon, 1806 painting by Charles Willson PealeĪ Dutch tenant farmer found the first recorded remnant of Mammut, a tooth some 2.2 kg (5 lb) in weight, in the village of Claverack, New York, in 1705. pacificus, the Pacific mastodon, are the youngest and best-known species of the genus. americanum, the American mastodon, and M. They generally had a browsing diet, distinct from that of the contemporary Columbian mammoth, which tended towards grazing. Mastodons lived in herds and were predominantly forest-dwelling animals. Be sure to only cut the very top surface of the paper. With the straight edge, next lightly score all of the fold lines by gently stroking the knife along them. Looking at the pattern reference on the printed page, all of the red lines are cuts to be made. Then, again using the straight edge, cut the shorter interior lines freeing the top and bottom flaps. Using a fresh hobby knife should make this easy, requiring only a single pass. Then carefully cut out the curved segments. Using a straight edge, cut out along all the straight black lines of the perimeter of the design. Make sure to press down and lightly rub the designs with a clean paper towel or cloth to ensure good contact and no air bubbles. Spray adhesive and rubber cement should be used in well ventilated spaces. They are not arranged as such on the PDFs because they won’t fit within the margins most printers require. Though not necessary, if you roughly cut out the two designs you can then affix them to a single sheet of cardstock. The margins are sufficient that no downsizing should be necessary on any printer. When printing the PDFs, make sure to print at 100%, no scaling. You may also find a pair of scissors handy, as well as a black permanent marker and packing tape. Otherwise you will also need some cardstock and either spray adhesive or rubber cement. Ideally the PDFs are printed onto thick paper or cardstock and cut out directly from there. The basic materials needed are printouts of the two PDFs, a sharp hobby knife, a straightedge, and a cutting board. 3/17/2023 0 Comments Crown trick bugThe crown imbues Elle with special powers, and the pair ascend towering dungeons to vanquish Vlad and save both worlds. A baddie named Vlad has breached the nightmare realm’s seals of power, empowering his forces of destruction and violence to overpower both the realm and Elle’s world. After she dons it, it comes to life and gives her the lay of the land. Confused, she stumbles across the game’s titular crown. You play a vibrantly pink-haired child named Elle who awakens in the realm of nightmares. Nonetheless, it accomplishes that goal and offers ample charm along the way. In typical roguelite fashion, the game’s plot does little more than contextualize its real draw: dungeon-crawling. Balance issues and dubious design choices dampen the experience, but Crown Trick is a testament to the compatibility of these two dissimilar genres and is the most addictive roguelite I’ve played all year. Partly thanks to its turn-based underpinnings, Crown Trick feels like playing a more thoughtful, tactical version of Hades-one brimming with multifaceted combat, progression systems I still struggle to stop thinking about, and a spirited aesthetic that kept me smiling even on my 40th wipe. Still, I was intrigued. So when the game debuted on PlayStation 4, morbid curiosity got the better of me and I decided to give it a go, expecting an interesting but unplayable experiment.Īnd I’m glad I did, because NeXT Studios proved me very, very wrong. When I first heard that Crown Trick meshes elements of both genres, I was sure the combination would lead to disappointment. Turn-based RPGs and roguelites are strange bedfellows. 3/16/2023 0 Comments Transdata komalogPane, and have that location remain fixed when you pan or zoom.
